Minraise PF yuck. Bet more on the flop. Bet more on the turn.

I think you gave him the odds to draw to his flush with such small bets. I fold the river.

Raise pot size preflop.
Bet pot.
Bet pot.
Call River.

That's my line and I'm sticking to it.

I didn't miniraise PF - miniraise would be 3$ and i raised to 4$ - the game was 3handed at the moment

any raise where its double what the previous guy put in is a mini-raise to me

say he raised to 4

if you raise to 8, that's a mini-raise

dont mini-raise pre-flop

His point still stands. Your raise is so small that any hand has implied odds to call and see a flop. You should be making it $6 or $7 standard when raising in this situation.

On the flop, don't worry about trying to look weak and induce callers. A king flopped, so your opponents are generally going to put you on AK and go from there. Furthermore, if you always bet 2/3-full pot on Ace or King-high flops after you raise preflop, it will help disguise your hand when you really do hit.
