Tips for newbie at 6Max/shorthanded play
Hello i am a newbie to shorthanded play i.e. 3-5 players and heads up. i can win quite consistently at full ring games at the microlimits but i have problems to shorthanded play. does anybody have some tips for me? or is there an internet guide somewhere around that u would recommend? thanks!

You got some very helpful links from generous posters - there's a tough learning curve for shorthanded because there isn't much literature on the topic out there. HUSH is the best resource in my opinion - you'd be well served to read the posts in this forum and reply to hands with questions/ comments. It takes awhile to adjust to the fact that the minimum hand requirements for playing are somewhat lower on average(especially postflop, and especially in heads-up pots where almost any pair will do). Play some hands, and study the forum. Post your interesting hands and respond to other players posts - don't be afraid to be wrong, someone will correct you and then you'll learn. Good luck, Surf |
