Poker player on RESUME
So... remember the former post. Well, putting poker player on my resume worked! At least for 1 of 2 so far. 2 other trading jobs pending. The one I didn't get typically accepts MBAs anyways.
Or maybe it was the other stuff... I put that i was up 57% in 5 months of intermediate term trading. But.. now I'm freaking out, cause my finance mark sucked, bombed the final. Which they have yet to see until the interview. Any traders have any advice for the interview? Position: Sales and Trading – Treasury and Financial Markets National Bank, located in Montreal, Canada |

Re: Poker player on RESUME
i dont think the company will ever know what your grade on your finance test was. i guess as long as you dont fail is no big thing.
depending on the culture a trading firm might actually like poker players. if its a big well known firm probably not. but some companies see the similarities between poker, gambling, and trading the markets. |
