Default This is a situation that always gets me

Table is loose, only been there about 10 hands though, but lots of limping...

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Button (t1585)
SB (t1120)
BB (t4190)
UTG (t1125)
UTG+1 (t1745)
MP1 (t3123)
MP2 (t4112)
Hero (t1955)
CO (t1040)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls t50, 2 folds, MP2 calls t50, Hero raises to t300, 1 fold, Button calls t300, 1 fold, BB calls t250, UTG calls t250, MP2 folds.

Flop: (t1275) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero?

I always get stuck in a situation like this, I try to bet enough to slim down the field, and lo and behold 3 others call me and we go to a flop where I have nothing.

What to do, what to do, comments greatly appreciated.

I think you raised a bit too much preflop, but thats just being nitty. I would usually raise to something like 225-250 here. I'm kind of a pot control nit.

On the flop, there's too much in the pot for anything but pushing all your chips in, and I'm not willing to do that and allow someone to make a "great call" with TT, so I'm check-folding. Sometimes poker is annoying like that.

When the table is loose, and 3 opponents.....be done with the hand, now it is only A high. If its a rebuy, push. IMO

In this instance, I decided to bet 200, since I got 2 checks to me and only had button left to act (who would surely bet if I checked anyways) so I put out a probe bet, if it got called or raised, I'd be thru with the hand unless an ace or king came, then I'd find myself with all my chips in.

I bet 200, everyone folded around and I picked up the pot (this time).
