Default non-standard (for me) KTs hand

I played this hand like a week ago and don't remember my specific reads on this opponent. He is 28/20/3.0 over a significant number of hands.

Party 5/10 6max, 6 handed

Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the button.

preflop

utg folds, Villain raises, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, Villain calls.

flop (7.5 sb) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Villain bets, Hero calls

turn (4.75 bb) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Villain bets, Hero raises

Is this a good spot for a free showdown play?
Is defending the button with KTs against this opponent stretching it? (probably )

Yeah, fold preflop.

A donk from this type of player is often a bet/3-bet attempt so it is quite possible his hand is strong.

That being said I don't mind the turn raise as you are obviously folding to a 3-bet.

But I think I prefer to just call down because some players this agressive will 3-bet there on a bluff. (However this sentiment might just be me still getting adjusted to 10/20 play)

But I don't mind the way you played it (besides the yucky preflop 3-bet.)

I don't like a free showdown raise here because:

1. I predict villian will fold this turn only rarely
2. There is a decent chance he will donk the river
3. You don't have a nice draw that will let you extract an extra bet on the river if you hit

Fold PF

This is a reason for raising the turn.

He can fold to the 3-bet because he has no draw and no card on the river makes him feel like raising the river to his follow through bet if Hero does not raise.

Very well played, I like it ALOT.

Preflop is obviously not normal but very very occasionally I make this preflop play against a TAG/LAG, it's good for shania. It's great for me because my PT stats hinge around 21-22/16-17 so whenever a 28/20 gets 3-bet by me the go into a shell and assume i've got something big.
