I think I almost always check behind on the turn.

If I don't check behind, I bet a lot closer to the pot.

I'm not sure what this player's donkish mini-raise means.... but if you think that it's weak at all, a push on the turn wouldn't be too bad, either.

As it played out.... gotta fold river.

I'm starting to think checking this turn is definitely the better play...50 gets rid of his odds to draw to the flush...but also puts me in an uncomfortable situation.

What hands that have the K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in them do you think he could have here, that don't already have the flush?

K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Qx? K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Jx? K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Tx? Is he really playing these hands like this?

Also, betting 50 looks really weak and may induce a bluff from an aggressive player.

Checking behind here is a matter of pot control. You have a good hand that may or may not be the best hand, and there aren't THAT many hands worse than yours that can call you down.

You have a good draw that you don't want to get raised off of, and you can call any reasonable river bet on any river card.

Checking the turn also increases the frequency that calling that bet is correct by making you seem weaker than you truly are, and inducing a bluff.
