yes there is a way you can lose this bet, and that's if one of those teams loses.

the true odds of 3 teams all winning straight is 7-1. you're getting less than even money on your wager though, and even with the strong moneylines the chances of ANY of these bets losing is 1/5 + 1/5 + 1/7 = 19/35 or about 54%. so 46% of the time you will win $41.15, and the other 54% of the time you will lose $50.00. this makes the EV of your $50 bet about -$8.

"

This is only true if the games are pick'ems, I think VT and NE are virtual locks to win but would be a little worried about Cin.

Agreed on both counts. I'd take either over the Bengals here. Based on my early research for the week, probably the Cowboys, personally.

no, I adjusted the losing odds by the moneylines (-400 = 1/5, -600 = 1/7). a true pick'em would be +100 = 1/2.

the correct breakeven price for two -400's and a -600 would be risk $50 to win $54.68, since there's only about a 46% mathematical chance that it will hit. by accepting only $41.15 on a wager which figures to lose 54% of the time, the house vig is approximately 25%, which is typical for a 3 team parlay.
