Howard Lederers Poker Camp (I hate my life!)

So, I take 2nd place in the most recent Fantasy Poker Challenge.

First place is a 3 grand entry into the Fantasy Camp, which allows you to meet and play against the pro's, learn in their seminars and in games against them, and play for at least 100K in prizes.

2nd place? A pair of Oakley Thumps, worth $349. unfortunately, I wear prescription glasses and wouldn't spend 350 bucks on a pair of glasses anyway, I'm not friggin' Lindsay Lohan!

They hold MP3 files which is kinda cool, but I think I'm going to dump them on Ebay and earn some scratch. Don't get me wrong, I'm psyched to win anything, especially if I can sell it for cash!

But being 3 measly points away from a 3 grand prize and getting a $350 prize instead kinda blows. So close, and yet so far. I KNEW I shoulda picked Harrington!

I believe I've seen people paying retail or over retail for them on Ebay, so at least I've got that going for me. Maybe they can finance my replacement of the 9700 Pro All-In-Wonder with a 6800GT I've been thirsting for.

i was playing in a wsop sattelite final, top 3 got the trip and buy-in. I was 2nd in chips with 4 people left. I grab black kings in the big blind, chip leader raises about a fifth of his stack on the button, I push and he calls with AQ, I guess you all know what the flop had, 4th place. THe worst part was that when I got cracked, the tourney stopped and there was a little gold medal next to the other threes names

Believe me I wanted to, I had a group of friends standing behind me and as soon as the turn spiked an a, everyone collectively went....."ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

Though I think, depending on how short the short stack was, I probably wouldn't have even pushed into the only stack that could hurt me w/ anything less than AA...
