Cold Deck following me around
Had one of those sessions last night at FW. Great games, perfect position, but absolutely no cards to play. Hour after hour of rags hitting the muck. I had to play some trash just to fend off the "rock" image. Bad session.
I tried to crack jokes and keep the table amused - playing the clown to divert attention from all the hands I was folding. Eventually, if I found something playable, though, even the craziest of my tablemates would avoid me in a pot. Took a break, changed games, and the bad cards found me again. Bad session. I eventually decided it just wasn't my night and headed home. My question is, is there a better way to deal with a bad run of cards? Is there anything else I should have done or could have done, short of playing a few more of those T4's, J2's, and 93's? edit: not whining... just looking for a strategy. |

Re: Cold Deck following me around
Sounds like you could have stole some blinds, but that's about it. Sometimes it's a nice day to go to the casino and fold for a few hours.

Good point. I think I could have exploited the tight image some more and taken some pots away. I think I fell into the passive trap. Interesting.

Re: Cold Deck following me around
just sit there and keep folding. there is no reason to go crazy with crap because you are not getting any cards. some nights you just dont get any cards to play and there isnt anything you can do about it.
