Default NYJ vs. ATL(-7.5)

Monday night Football NYJ Vs. ATL-7.5
Ok first impression you would thinks Atlanta home Monday night blow out vs. struggling Jets with old Vinny starting. The Falcons defense is one of the worst in the nfl. The question is can martin run all over the falcons? Can you trust Vinny to keep up scoring vs. the awsome falcon run? So I'm basically stuck on this one Atlanta should win but always with Atlanta you have to fear of there oposition hitting a back door cover.
I'm thinking about putting .5 unit on NYJ

bet365 has the jets listed at _320 on the money line which is much higher then my other books have them (+280 and +290 are the othe rnumbers im seeing)

I may just bet the under 40.5 at MVP Sportsbook.

The line is 8.5 at bet365 now. I sure as hell wasn't expecting that. I'll be betting the Jets, but I'm not sure I should wait and see if I get another half point or so.

I like this prop bet:

Alge Crumpler (Falcons) Total Receiving Yards - Must Play
Receiving Yards
Receiving Yards 10/24/05 (21:05 ET)
Over 56.5 (-120)

NYJ's pass defense vs. TEs has been pretty bad so far this year.

Atlanta: Offensive Rank #16 Rush #1 Pass #28 Defensive Rank #26 RushD #28 PassD #22

Jets: Offensive Rank #29 Rush #29 Pass #26 Defensive Rank #12 RushD #26 PassD #7

Wagerline has 70% of the money on Atlanta so a BSP pick isn't out of the question.

But matching up the league's #1 Rush Offense against one of the worst rush defenses which is also one of the leagues worst offenses overall is not a pretty picture for the Jets.

I should add - I don't think either side of this game is +EV. I'd normally be on the side of the Jets here with the great disparity in public opinion, but the #1 rushing offense against a terrible rush defense makes the game too unpredictable even when laying against the public opinion. Its probable that the Falcons bust off a monster rushing game with a couple 40+yd touchdown scampers, which could change the game in a heartbeat.

If I were forced to pick a side I'd play the smallest possible unit on the Jets +8.5. If you're just purely an action junkie and have to throw something on the game to keep it interesting, I'd even consider Jets moneyline assuming it would result in a smaller unit play (assuming you're a unit better compared to someone who's laying <$20 total on the game where a $5 or $10 moneyline lay is going to be as significant as betting a normal unit with the points).
