Default I Like to Spray Money

50-100. 6-handed. I raise UTG with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Folded to unknown player in cutoff who makes it three bets. Others fold and we see the flop headsup. The flop is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I check, he bets, I raise, he reraises and I cap it. Turn is the Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I bet, he calls. River is the A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I bet. Comments?

Jeff

You really think he's got 66-TT or two kings often enough for that river bet? I mean, even AT's just got there too. I dunno. Seems like spewing.

I think your flop cap is ok. He might 3 bet 2 tens, but your cap will usually mean you can beat two tens...which he will likely fold on the turn...but then when he calls when the queen comes you've gotta be thinking he probably doesn't have tens.

I don't even think he folds two kings on the river. Now that I've thought about it even more I don't like the river bet.

My initial thought was you have no way of winning what is now a pretty big pot without betting. Looking at it closer though I am having a hard time thinking of any hand that calls the turn and folds the river.

i disagree with the above two posters. i think a hand like 66-TT folds this river more than enough to make this bet +EV. having the A and the Q on the board is like the scariest thing in the world for a guy holding those cards.

Sorry, but what hand does Jeffage has that caps the flop and hits the Q or the A?

You would play most of those that way preflop/flop against an unknown?

no, im not. i dont see anything wrong with the first two streets here. 87s UTG is weak but he's opening up his range a little bet. i'd open A6s+ here too. and QTs. and possibly Q9s depending on how the table sees me.

with 12+ outs and lots of fold equity on scare cards his flop play is fine.
