Help! - Ruling argument......
Okay.....This one I hope is simple, but I can't get the argument to go away.
Okay - Board shows (3) Diamonds, one of them being the Ace. Two players bet all the way to 5th street and show two hole diamonds. Being that the Nuts are on the board (Ace High Flush), is this a chop-chop or does next high hole card take it? HELP. |

Re: Help! - Ruling argument......
Next highest hole card, unless all five diamonds on board are bigger than anyone has in their hand, then it's a chop.

Re: Help! - Ruling argument......
Reply is correct. Just remember - you have to play a five card hand, never less. So if there are three diamonds on board, say Ad-Kd-10d, 6d-8d would win over 4d-5d.

Further terminology clarification:
If a hand is Ad-Kd-Td-5d-2d, it can be called any of the following: AKT52 flush AKT5-high flush AKT-high flush AK-high flush A-high flush The latter categories are "short-forms" of the categories above them, but the actual hand is AKT52 flush. |
