there's absolutely no reason to raise the river. I usually check 4th as well to get a handle on who has what. Even if it gets checked behind u, its no loss as u dont mind a free card anyway and it'll be easier to get it heads up.

I bet the river Because I was sure I was good, and they both had lows, so I was trying to build my half of the pot. I thought i had equity there.

its one thing to bet and another to raise. you're way better off going with an overcall and hope seat 3 calls with a small two pair or ugly low, which he is very likely to fold for two bets. You are throwing money away almost every time by raising here, and you need to be absoultely sure you're good to raise. You need more than 75% confident that you 1. have the best hi hand, *AND* 2. that villain will call two cold what he would have called one bet. That kind of odds almost never happens.

I play it pretty much the same, but yeah, probably just go for on overcall on 4th, especially at this level.
