Default AKs from the blinds, what do you do pre-flop?

Not sure if I've ever really played this correct. 8xBB raise from UTG. This particular UTG is a bit LAG. Re-raise? Flat call?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (9 handed) converter

Hero ($23.05)
<font color="#C00000">UTG ($11.70)</font>
UTG+1 ($30.50)
MP1 ($37.78)
MP2 ($22.90)
MP3 ($25.25)
CO ($5.40)
Button ($29.47)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.

Raise UTG all-in.

I would bump it to $6 or $8. I have been burned recently by not pushing AK preflop and this looks like a time when smooth calling to see a flop and then dumping would be a bad idea. Get the money in now before you get bet off the hand on the flop by an AQ making a continuation bet, IMO

I'm sandwhiched throughout this hand, which is about the worse spot to be in. If I bumpt to say $7, what's my plan if UTG pushes, or SB for that matter. UTG is quite aggresive and it's very probably he'd push with a wide range of hands. I'd say 99-AA, and AK.

I'd just call. Get it all in vs. UTG if you hit.

Bump. Is this situation really not that interesting? We've all had it several times b4. Thought some line discussion would occur.

u have 2 choices imo. u can put UTG all in. or u can call which i think is the superior play. it gets u more value out of hands u dominate and allows u to play cheaper oop.
