Did I fold too early here? Seat 5 doesn't have much, but neither do I. Do I spend an other bet and hope for a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or a Jack? And if I get a heart, and set 5 draws a blank, do I bet/call or check/fold?

You're getting 3 to 1 on your call. This seems like enough to give it a try. On the next card, you will be getting 3 to 1 again. I would tend to call it again, especially if op gets a non-threatening card lower than a J.
