Re: Screwed Cubed
You are correct, I play very little blackjack. I should take this to probability, but maybe someone here could tell me. What is the poker equivalent of this 'bad beat' given that the up card is a Q?

Re: Screwed Cubed
About the same as AK missing the flop and getting beat with pocket 5s. Not exactly exciting stuff.
Bad Beats in blackjack are even more predictable and boring than poker bad beats. |

Re: Screwed Cubed
So how about this scenariou: Your count has sky-rocketed, your betting 10 units or something, you split your aces, re-split, double down all your hands, and lose them all to a dealers 6 up? Ever had anything like that happen CC0? Just interested, that must hurt.....
This must be approaching at least getting a set cracked. |

Re: Screwed Cubed
That scenario is so common, you almost EXPECT the dealer to get a 5 when he shows a 16. About the only thing interesting would be exactly what suit the 5 is.
Kind of like watching the fish turn over 72o on a A72 flop cracking your AA, when he originally limped in UTG, it gets capped preflop, and he calls 3 more cold. Calling raises all the way, as it comes 7 and 7 turn and river. What else could he have, pocket Kings? |
