inter 1-2 4 handed AK hand
last 4 hands i think i have raised preflop every time. Once the bb in the hand called me down with top pair after i 3 bet As9h from the sb on a Qs 7s 4h Ts Td board. . . most aggression in the game has been on the turn, but a lot of stop and go with middle pair etc usual stuff with teh intention of calling down raises, and middle pair is often good, etc. . .
I have AcKs in the co and raise, button folds, sb calls, bb calls. . . flop Qd 9s 7s, checks to me i bet, sb folds, bb thinks and calls turn 8h: sb thinks and checks, I check behind river Qh, sb thinks and bets, I am getting 5 to 1 on a call and I think and call. . . thoughts on turn check and river call? |

Re: inter 1-2 4 handed AK hand
I think I bet the turn, and when I dont I usually fold on the river, your check usually means some pair and you are willing to call a river bet, which means he may not bluff enough because he thinks you will call him down. |

Re: inter 1-2 4 handed AK hand
Nobody hates the heads up turn check behind more than Nomar. Since he is by far the biggest pain in the ass to play agaist, and he always gets the money, I dont check behind in these spots too much anymore. But I think he is full of [censored] here. If you have been real aggro lately I especially like the check since there is probably a decent chance he will checkraise a worse hand, and its gonna be an ugly spot. Thats a pretty draw heavy board and I really think you have an easy river call given your turn action and your current image.

When it is heads up with that situation I almost always bet the turn. I'd rather check behind on the river then check the turn and have to pay off the river.

This post is kinda cool, hence the bump.
