Default Hey you lazy ass 2+2 owners!!!!!!!!!!

It is my opinion that Ed Miller, Ray Zee, and the rest of the bunch are genuinely good guys. It is also my impression that you guys have made a shitload of cash via 2+2 and conjelco. I also know you have a massive base of poker players that love you like a porn star loves....well you know. So, given those factors, why don't you guys start an online Casino that doesn't rape the poker players. You know you would have our support.

Yes, not totally screwing the customers goes against the normal business practice but Michael Davis, Alobar, about 20 other IRC'ers and I are in total agreement that you would be a massive success.

So why don't you get off your butt and grab this opportunity that so many people want you to grab. There is a massive market out there just waiting for you to grab. You have tons of avenues for dirt cheap if not free marketing.

Think about it.

"Spitzbergen"

So did you spell poorly when you wrote your location, or has senility finally caught up?

As much as I am bitter about the current situation, a 2p2 supported site with very low rake and player-centered support would not be as profitable as Party Poker.

There's actually a very easy way to do this. There's a company that provides a turnkey operation where they set up a skin and do all the back-office stuff for you. Essentially all you have to do is collect a check. They'll do it for anyone with a certain number of hits on their poker page. I forget the name of the company, but I have the president's card at work. I'll post it Monday.

they dont have that much money. i think you guys overestimate 2+2's wealth, and underestimate how much it costs to create a cardroom and the risk.

See my post above. It can be done with ZERO start-up cost and ZERO risk.

wacki, this wont work.

1. the 2p2 authors have tons of poker experience, but no technical experience.

2. it costs much more than you think.

3. what the users of 2p2.com want are bad players. it takes a lot of advertising/time to get these players. no one will want to play at a site with a bunch of 2p2ers.

This point is much more accurate and relevant than your first two.

Let's chock it up to senility, with some percentage given to fatigue.

But here is something that is very interesting. The proper spelling is with an S and not the Z. At least presently. But why does the Z spelling get caught in my mind sometimes (and I suspect this has to do somewhat with fatigue, which effects the brain in remarkable ways). The answer, in this specific case, is because of Bertrand Russell. Let me explain. Russell wrote an essay called 'Free Thought and Official Propaganda' published in a small book titled: The Will to Doubt A Philosophical Paperback[ISBN 8022-2436-9]. Upon my first reading of this essay, in a section about propaganda, the following passage stood out:

"Our system of education turns young people out of the schools able to read, but for the most part unable to weigh evidence or to form an independent opinion. They are then assailed, throughout the rest of their lives, by statements designed to make them believe all sorts of absurd propositions, such as that Blank's pills cure all ills, that Spitzbergen [sic] is warm and fertile, and that Germans eat corpses."

This essay was written in the early 1920's, so perhaps that was the official spelling of Spitsbergen at that time, or perhaps not, or perhaps it was left to the whim of the writer, or perhaps the British spell it differently, or perhaps Russell is insane and displays this deficiency by random spelling errors. I will leave that for you to ponder out. Anyway, you now know why I have Spitsbergen as my location of operations and humble abode. And you also have a reasonable explanation as to why I misspelled this island name so late at night. In addition to knowing it is where I live - in my mind.
