Default Lost $100 at a $5 rebuy!

After asking around and hearing about how it was +EV to rebuy, I moved away from my safe and tight strategy into a maniac one. I feel so stupid now!!

I lost 30 in a $3 rebuy for a seat to the saturday WPT qualifier. Kept getting good hands busted first hour, but finally got a decent stack, then lost it all in the 3rd hour trying to get tricky against the current chip leader.

You should still be playing good poker. I wouldn't be pushing any two or throwing out huge bluffs when you are very likely to be called. 20 rebuys are quite alot... where you getting your money in with the best hands?

No. I pushed every hand and doublerebuyed. I thought this was optimal; I've seen big players do this.

update: lost $130 now

I really recommend stopping the money dump and re-evaluating your strategy. You can't push every hand. You will get called. I'd call you with pocket 8s. Remember, I can always rebuy too, and if I win, I've doubled up for free.

NO! Pushing EVERY hand is not optimal. In fact this is a very bad strategy. You still need a good hand to be pushing. You should be rebuying everytime you push your good hands though.

When I did mine, I pushed 88+, A6s+, ATo+, KJs+. Lost alot of hands before I got a 12K stack and had the richest table after first hour (worked for me, I took back everything I bought in for soon after), but people still thought I was crazy loose, and when I did hit a hand, it would sometimes triple me up cuz I'd get 2 callers.
