Default AC addict

Yes I admit, I'm an AC addict. I went there for one week and pulled down $1200 in the $5-$10 games. Loved it. Will go back. Loved the rake, the huge player pool, all the east coast people with their east coast accents. A few funny things:

1) When people asked me where I was from, I replied, Detroit, to which they replied, "Oh my God".

2) When I drove in the Pleasantville hotel section, I passed all the hotels, made a u-turn, and saw a curious sign that said "End designated Safe Zone."

3) Dont stay at Red Carpet Inn. Just dont do it.

to all the people I met when I was out there- loved playing with you guys. I hope to return soon.

I played at the Trop also, mainly 1/2 NL and pink chip. I was the guy with the pink 2.5 dollar borgata chip. Also I was winning. Any chance I played with you?

hmmm, dont recall seeing anyone with a 2.50 pink borgata chip. I was in the simulcast area the whole time (all 24 hours).

Played 1/2 NL as well. some of the tables were super aggressive, i mean, rasing pre flop $20 with marginal hands?
Ended up +$150. (but took that to three card poker and hit 2 straight flushes, LOL)

The only part of Atlantic City that qualifies as a "Safe Zone" is inside my Subaru with the doors locked, windows rolled up, and me doing 70. The one neighborhood where most of the muggers apparently had a good kindergarten teacher almost qualifies, since they say "thank you" and are polite as they rob you at knifepoint.

I'm glad that you had a successful trip. The whole east coast seems to be clueless on how to play poker. Where did you play?

It's hardly dangerous.

Are you out of your mind? AC=not safe place. Inside the casinos=safe. You walk the streets. You let me know how that works out for you.

I've walked around AC plenty of times. I'm also a nonthreatening, short, Asian male typically carrying several thousand dollars in my pockets when I do so and I've never felt like I was in danger. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I think it's more likely that you and others tend to exaggerate urban danger.

I spent a week in a high rise on the North end of AC last April. There were several blocks between me and the casinos I would not want to traverse after dark, but I was generally comfortable in the areas around the casinos, on boardwalk and off. After dark, we took a shuttle back and forth.

The scariest people I saw were some of the entrants in the AM tournament at the Borgata.

SFER you are not down, at all and you never will be. We don't overestimate urban danger we just understand it more than you.... You made it painfully clear that you have no clue about urban living but you think you are cool because you walked with over a couple of thousand dollars though the "rough" part of AC. I live in DC and see people like you in the police logs from SE who think "they are down" listening to too much 3-6 mafia or mobb deep then get robbed. I really hope you were kidding. it's common sense, if you don't know the terrain don't go hiking. you can now go back to listing to Jin and throwing your hands up in the mirror//
