a general question
i play single table tournaments almost exclusively and normally play tight/aggressive.
when (if) i get to a heads up situation i switch to super aggressive and try to steal the blinds. basically i'm wondering if i should play a more aggressive game earlier (at the bubble for example) or wait until i am heads up before changing tactics. yours, A. Noob |

Re: a general question
it depends... how is the breakdown of your finishes (1-2-3-4)?
If you're not getting nearly enough firsts, you either need to: a) Re-examine your heads up play. b) Accumulate more chips on the bubble. Remember, punish the medium stacks with well-timed steals and pushes. They're the ones most likely to fold, for fear of busting out in 4th. The shorties and big stacks have larger calling ranges, because they lack this fear of elimination. |

Re: a general question
i don't have an exact breakdown but i seem to come in 3rd a lot of the time and i think it may be because i fail to take advantage of situations at the bubble.
