Default Another JJ hand

The only thing I have on this opponent is his PT-stats, which are 34.4/17.2/3.8 over 65 hands. I'm interested in pretty much all streets, except preflop.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

BB ($97)
UTG ($192.40)
MP ($67.40)
CO ($89.90)

SB ($80.95)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG calls $1, 2 folds, Hero raises to $5, SB (poster) calls $4.50, 1 fold, UTG calls $4.

SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $15, SB raises to $30, UTG folds, Hero calls $15.

Turn: ($76) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB calls $45.95 (All-In), Hero calls $45.95.

River: ($167.90) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

I let it go on the flop. If you have a read that this guy likes to try and pick off continuation bets like that and you call... I definitely fold the turn.

Nevermind, I thought the stakes were lower than they were.

From the PT stats, it would seem that villain is ridiculously aggressive. 3.8 is his aggression factor, right? In this case, because he didn't reraise preflop, I put him on high hearts when he minraises the flop. I don't mind how you played this against this particular opponent. Shame about the river though.

I don't hate it. If he's got a boat so be it. It seems like a higher pair would have reraised preflop. I hope you didn't get shown the AQ [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] for a nasty river.

I think that villain's gonna have 8x [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] often enough here to call. I think that he could easily make this play with 99, TT or even lower, unset PPs.

Default Results and some thoughts

Thanks for the replies!

I tend to lose confidence with these quite shaky hands when someone plays back at me and I probably overplay them most of the time. I'm glad you didn't think so here. The reason I called was pretty much outlined in the posts above. First off, he would probably reraise a higher pair preflop, and even if I can't exclude it entirely that was pretty much off my list. Also, the flush draw was there and he might get frisky with a pair or overcards + draw. And thirdly, his stats indicated that he was very aggressive, even though 65 hands really doesn't prove much.

Anyway, he showed TT and MHWG.

Wow, good job. I play these types of hands pretty weakly. I guess the clincher for the call was his aggro factor? If it was < 2 I'd probably fold to the raise on the flop.

And I tend to overplay these hands.

The clincher was indeed his aggro factor. I'm not sure how I would've handled the hand if his aggression factor had been a tad lower, say 2-3. I would probably call the flop and reevaluate the turn. Do you think that is throwing money away? If it had been even lower, though, I would probably toss it on the flop, as you would.
