Blind Defence 1
In an effort to defend my blinds more, Im interested to see which hands I can add here:
The CO or Button has shown competence in stealing the blinds. You are in the big blind. The Co or Button open raises. 1)What range of hands do you call/raise with when its folded to you? 2)If the stealer is laggy postflop and likes to showdown, how does this affect things? 3)If he is more taggy postflop, likewise, how does this affect things? |

Re: Blind Defence 1
[ QUOTE ]
1)What range of hands do you call/raise with when its folded to you? [/ QUOTE ] Most decent suited cards, most decent highcards, most decent connecters, most aces, any pair. I raise the better ones and raise more if I think it will make postflop easier(read: that he will fold flop or turn if he miss) [ QUOTE ] 2)If the stealer is laggy postflop and likes to showdown, how does this affect things? [/ QUOTE ] You get more value, but bluffing/semibluffing loose value. [ QUOTE ] 3)If he is more taggy postflop, likewise, how does this affect things? [/ QUOTE ] Well, other way around. Legit hands lose some value, but semibluffs/bluffs gain. He will probably also make less mistakes and his range is tighter, so your overall value drops, meaning you should defend less. Edit: Peter Rus has posted somewhat detailed what he defends somwhere. |
