Default How hard do you push with a pair?

Button limps, SB folds, Hero raises with 77 from the BB.

Flop is 8TQr. Hero bets, button calls.

Turn is blank, Hero bets?, button calls.

River is blank. Check/call?

How does the situation change if the flop were 6TQ?

Is this hand really so boring that noone can reply? Or is it just too marginal that it doesn't matter much either way? Or is it too read dependant? If so, what do you do when you have no idea about your opponents?

Please... someone say something...

The action on the river is entirely dependent on who you are playing against. I would say it's either check/fold or check/call. If you're playing against a loose-passive it's check-fold. If you're playing with a loose semi-aggressive or aggressive it's probably a check-call (again, very read dependent). You are probably going to get a free river against these opponents though, even with hands as strong as KT simply because of how much strength you've shown previously and how badly most opponents are at value-betting.

If you're playing against a TAG or any thinking opponent, this is totally read dependent but I would be more inclined to call. With the check on the river, you are representing a busted draw/ace high/maybe even king high depending on your AF. He understands this and thus would be more likely to bet for value on hands like Ace-high.

I don't think the undercard matters much.

Does this help?

Yes, thank you. I take it by your responce that you think my flop and turn bet are standard?

You have to lead the flop 99.99% of the time; the turn is read dependent.
