Default Re: i fold top pair to a turn raise

I don't like it.

If button is aggressive he'd usually have raised any flopped pair, so we can't really give him credit for turned 2pair very often. Maybe a slowplayed set, but I think a turned pair of Js or 79/A9 type hand pulling a free showdown move.

I dunno, what does his open-limp say to you? Have you seen him do it before? If he's a 30/20 who steals 40% + who suddenly open-limps I'm going to be really suspicious and probably just check-call the turn and rver... it'll look like you were taking a stab and gave up and you'll get lots of bluff bets and reach SD cheaply.

Close call, but I'm calling the raise and a river bet if needed (but I'm weak like that).

It'll cost you 2 big bets at most to have a shot at 6.5 big bets (if he bets River).

Is he raising with less than top pair at least 1/3 of time?
I think he is.

If the 3rd player was still in, he's less likely to be making a move on you (and that player flat calling 2 bets on the Turn would really scare me).

If I have a hand with a reasonable chance of being a winner, I'm calling this down.
