Default The most misplayed hand in online tournaments is...

Personally, I find that most players play AK very poorly, in lower buy in MTTs. Something about the fact that they have the best ace high, gets them excited or something. What other hands do you guys see misplayed a lot?

Mid Pocket pairs (like 99-TT).. I see lots of people just calling with these hands after a couple people have limped in

Also the usual.. people overvaluing KQ, KJ, AJ, and all the other trap hands..

Also a lot of people misplay high PP and try to get fancy by limping in.. then complain how they got a bad beat, kind of ironic

I think people call raises with AJ too much. It's a terrible hand if you follow the Gap Concept and it only leads to trouble when you hit a jack high flop and get taken out by a person holding KK or QQ.

Yeah, I give a vote for these TPMK type hands (especially qj + kj). Lots of times you'll see lp folks get pwned when they hit top pair vs. an ep AJ/AQ type limper.

yep AJ is awful to call raise with.. even if I target the person as a loose player, I always throw it away anyway because I know it's gonna lead to all sorts of problems.. if I hit the ace I dunno if that's good or bad news.. sometimes i'll even let go of AQ against a super conservative player that has only entered a couple pots

I agree AK is the most often misplayed hand and I too have difficulty with it at times. So, now that there seems to be some agreement on this, does anyone have any thoughts/advice/epiphanies how to play it?
