Default \"Something stinks\" at Borgata 10-20?

It was late or early, depending on how you look at things. For some reason, the Borg 10-20 game became very short-handed even though the Open was running.

I was happy about this. I play shorthanded. It's what I do. The cards dealt to me had arrived with ice crystals attached for two sessions. Now since I'd be receiving cards with more frequency, I figured they'd thaw out in time. Plus, there's just no way my three opponents have played more shorthanded poker than me.

After a bit of play, a gent sits down next to me, plays a few hands and then sits out. He leaves the table, comes back, and then continues to sit out. He turns to me and says, "Something stinks." I was a bit groggy and thought he could be refering to unpleasant odors, perhaps coming from a fat man. He repeats himself two more times. I ask what he's talking about. He says it's not something he can talk about right now. I continue to play; he then tells me that his advisor told him not to play in the game.

Any regulars have thoughts? From my vantage, I didn't see anything funky with regard to betting and such. I decided to go get some sleep anyway though. I had booked a 20bb loss. I felt icky and confused. I took a shower.

Surely you are not intimating that people cheat at poker??? Maybe he wanted to chase off the best player?

he was probably just some schizophrenic old guy who had been losing all night.

his advisor was probably the guy who went broke in the game making it shorthanded.
