Is it really that simple? He PFRed...you put MP on an 8 or 2 clubs?

I dont really know the right play, but i think a bet/fold on the flop is too simple...

I call all the way down unless an Ace hits and no club hits in which case I fold on the river. Folding this flop would be criminal in my opinion.

I see what you're saying about PFR but think of the range he is likely up against AK/AQ/AJ (6 outs), pocket pairs 77-AA, KQ (6 outs). Doens't look promosing in my opinion. If turn is a blank, hero might have to bet again with middle pair. Could be costly.

Either reraise and lead or call and lead a non-club turn. He's more likely to have overcards with nut or second nut club than an overpair. If you get raised on the turn, play good poker and make a decision.

- he might not have hit
- you have 2nd highest pair headsup. While higher cards will likely come, making your pair worse, he still might miss.
- you have a club, which he might not.


I think this is a call. Watch out for aces that come though.
