Two interesting misdeals.
So I was at a casino for only the second time of my life and saw two interesting misdeals in the course of a couple hours:
Hand 1. I'm in seat 1 with the SB. Dealer deals everyone their first card. As he throws me my second card it falls right into the slot that they use to collect chips for the jackpots. Floor is called, decides to take everyones cards back and deal a new deck. (btw it was a 4d, I didn't want it anyway) Hand 2. New dealer. One player raises, short stack calls. Flop is K96r. Raiser goes all in, short stack calls. Raiser shows AA and short shows KJ. As the dealer brings back her left arm from pulling in the players chips, her elbow smacks into her right hand knocking the cards all over the table and floor. Everyone at the table, including the dealer, is dead silent shocked at what just happened. Floor is again called and dealer trys to explain that the cards on the floor where picked up pretty much exactly how they had been stacked on the deck. Floor decides to have her reshuffle all the cards (except burn) and deal out turn and river. Aces hold up. |

Re: Two interesting misdeals.
Seems fine. I don't understand why people don't get it that random is random. If you don't know what order the cards are in, it's random. Take a deck of cards, look at the top ten cards. Forget about them. Ten years later, come back and play the deck without shuffling. That's random.
