all these new 6 max player's

there are more and more 6 max player's coming over from full ring games every week.what auto rates do you use to rate in the players in poker tracker,you cant use the full game ones as there are too tight to rate players with.
as far as i can see there are NO 6 max limit auto rate's out there
some may use hud's but these dont work on in all rooms ie ultimate bet
so what do you use to rate ???

What good is autorate for? It's already tough enough to get a good read from three PT numbers - why do you need to generalize even further? Just look at the VP / PFR / AF without autorate.

Just adjust the numbers up a little bit. Make your own categories.

as you can see there is alot of rates outthere

poker tracker (think they are a mix of drivertt and bison )
bison limit full ring
drivertt limit full ring
poker tracker guide limit full ring
trogers 6max nl
bet the pot fullring nl

all these rates are use by most(ok some have been alltered)
but for the 6 max limit games there is nothing

if it wasnt important to have the rates why is there so meny of the full ring limit games ?,it is only now that the 6 max is getting more and more popular that they are needed.

6 max is hard enough with out the added help of a read or two

The point others are making is that putting someone into a broad category isn't much of a read.

Regardless of how much you agree with that, its a very useful exercise to come up with your own rules. Not only will you get a bit of a deeper understanding of PT, but it will force you to think about the different opponenets you face.

Auto-rate is not very useful in 6max. Its also not very useful beyond your first 3 months playing poker.

If you want to be a big winner in these games you need to start using stuff like went to showdown, atempt to steal blinds, pre flop raising percent in like 3-5% increments...etc.

actually autorate is prob good for 1/2 6max and would prob still be useful at 3/6 6max but beyond that if you are relying on autorate to make your decisions you prob shouldn't be playing the game.
