I check/fold the river in hand 1. What would he call a turn bet here that he wouldn't call a river bet with?

I prefer betting the turn/checking the river.

I check every round in hand one. Sometimes if he checks the flop and the turn I will stab at the river.

I play hand two the same except that I check-fold the river.

Hand1 is interesting. I think he has a K-hi flopped flush here.

Hand 1: Give up the hand after seeing the flop, and ESPECIALLY when he checks flop behind.

Hand 2: Bet the turn.

In hand 1, I cant see him folding to the river bet often enough here.

I agree. While I believe the turn bet is good, I think you're doomed after he calls. He's not going to fold any pair unless he's super weak IMO.

In hand 2, scary that both players called you on such a crappy board, but I think there's merit to a turn bet since some are probably just peeling overs or calling with a 2 or possibly 45. If you are called, you're probably owned and can check/fold the river, and if you're raised, you probably got ~9 outs.

I tend to give too much credit to those flop check-throughs and it sucks to have to pay 2 bets into a 2 bet pot drawing dead. it just doesn't make much sense to check through that flop after raising preflop. but then again, if he really is giving up, then you need to take it down. just check-fold the turn. feels weak, but his flop check indicates more strength than weakness

hand 2 for the river, I don't see much value in betting and I don't see a better hand folding. I think you might be better off check-somethinging, which would usually be check-calling

I really dont like to check-call this turn. The flop check through seems like either a monster or he is just giving up on the hand. I think Id bet this turn and fold to a raise. Then c/f river UI.
