Re: Only thing better than the Cardinals clinching
It was pretty comical, that 9th inning in the monsoon. Glad nobody got hurt.
Forty games over .500. Very impressive. There's not a team in either major league now that looks anywhere near as good as the Cardinals. Cleveland's the best team in the AL right now, and I guess the Braves are the second best in the NL. So you see my point. |

Re: Only thing better than the Cardinals clinching
So what's it like to root for a team with a decent manager?

Re: Only thing better than the Cardinals clinching
Yep, that must make it sweet to clinch against the incompetent losers. Hopefully people will wake up and stop going to loser games in the rotten confines and the Cubs will be moved to Puerto Rico to play in an astroturfed monstrosity stadium or something.

Good enough to trade away for top talent, or step up and contribute immediately. I don't know if anyone is ever going to win 14 straight division championships again, but the Cards do seem to have some solid young talent, and a good enough manager to keep their heads on straight. |
