Default thin river value bet? 5-10 6max

I'm on button w/ $1.5k w/ black 77 and open to $35. Tight winning regular SB calls ($1.2k). BB folds.

flop ($80) Qc9s5c. He checks, I bet $70, he calls.

turn ($220) 2c. He checks, I check.

River ($220) 3c. He checks. Hero...

This player is pretty good and plays higher. He is capable of bluff-CRing here (but not often) and probably has seen me bluffing a lot in the last 1/2 hour. Is it worth betting?

Well if he will call with any Q, he'll call with a ton of higher clubs, I'm thinking TJ with a club, QK/J with a club and so forth. Veeery thin value bet.

I don't mind betting smallish in these situations, if he has a higher club oh well. Also, sets call you here nearly everytime (if he was going for a turn c/r for some reason) in my experience.

I also like it for shania purposes "no cheap showdowns bitches"

So how much do you bet that isn't cheap but is smallish?

If I do bet, I'd make it between 60-70. You probably have no folding equity over better hands, so no point making a full pot bet. Betting is somewhat player dependent though.

In this hand, I felt a very thin value bet was warrented because of my bluff-tastic image. I bet $150, the villain thought until the timer ran out and called w/ AQo, no flush and I took it down. I rarely make bets like this but felt pretty sure he didn't have the flush - although he would have called w/ any club.
