Default Hey can you make a living playing poker on the internet

I was wondering how many of you make a decent livin consistent playing online.I always wonder if the games are fixed ,to keep the players in the game, however without players they couldnt make money. Is there anyway to make me feel at ease that the cards are fairly dealt. Thanks for your replys

If games needed to be rigged in favor of the losers to keep the fishes playing, then what keeps the lights on in Vegas?

The house makes enough legitimate money that they don't need to cheat. So cheating should be your last concern when deciding whether you can go pro at online poker.

Your own skill should be the first concern, then your bankroll, then your skill, then make sure you have enough cash around to cover both your play and your expenses in case you hit a downswing.

I am not totally a pro player but my poker winning far outweigh my part time job winnings to the point where I could not support myself on my job alone. There are quite a few pros out there who mostly play online.

If you have to ask the question you are not ready yet.

FWIW, I am between jobs right now and just started looking last week. I have made as much money as working full-time without the travel costs.

It is not the easiest thing in the world though, although it beats the hell out of what the alternative was.

Default Nope, not with all the monkey business . . .

With the huge rakes and the other various forms of collusion that goes on, I simply do not believe it is possible to make a living playing online, no matter what the optimists say.

Huge rakes, compared to what? Don't agree with that statement.
