Straight+FLush Draw OOP NL$400
I followed a fish to nl$400 from NL$200. I only played a few hands before this, so no reads other than the Villain did not appear to be a complete donkey. I limped utg w/ this hand because the Fish was in the BB so I knew he would be in the pot and there was little raising preflop. I'm not sure if I played this correctly from prelfop to river. Comments please.

Re: Straight+FLush Draw OOP NL$400
Reraise more on flop to take it down, or just call the reraise (although that always feels like surrendering to a frustrating min-raise). Otherwise, turn bet is read dependant, can this guy lay down a hand that he called a flop 3-bet with? A lot of people will call the flop 3-bet with a set, and wait for a safe card then blast the turn.
Still, I don't know what to put him on this hand given the turn call except possible a big-ace flush draw. Either way, once you made the turn bet the heart on river commits you. I'm curious, did he have something like AhKh? |

Re: Straight+FLush Draw OOP NL$400
suited connectors oop suck in not so deep stacked NL poker
that being said, on the flop, you should probably just call his bet or reraise MUCH bigger. you have a great draw, why not draw for a cheap price? on the turn, a bet again is bad because the guy basically announced that he has a hand that he likes, and that A is probably not going to dissuade him from calling; you have little fold equity imo. you've inflated the pot from the flop so now you're in a tough spot, and if you bet, you're pot committed if he raises you. river is ok the way the hand played out. |
