Default Steal question

If the small blind and big blind rarely fold to steals from the button, how should this affect which hands you raise from the button? Should you be dumping some steal hands? Should you be limping (yuk..) with some hands instead?

Default Re: Steal question

It depends how rarely they fold and if they will both call a raise or just 1 will. There's a section in HEPFAP on this - "when the blinds are extremely loose" I believe.

It also depends how much they defend postflop. If they always give up when they miss you should steal as often as possible

Default Do you steal less?

If your on button and your very sure one or both blinds will call your blind steal raise what hands do you tighten up with?
e.g you normally raise Ax, but would you tighten up to A5 for example?
suited connectors, you might raise tight blinds with 65s, but what is lowest connector you raise when you know one blind will call and is generally pretty fishy post flop, or tricky, ie, not easy post flop folder.

Its not blind stealing if there not folding.
