Default How do you play when you\'ve been on a bad streak?

For the past two weeks i've been on a losing streak. Three weeks ago i won $1,000 in four days. But over the past two weeks im down about $240. It's been a mixture of bad beats and subsequent tilting on my part. It's not that im getting looser though. I seem to be playing a bit more timid. One thing that may be adding to my stress level is that poker makes up about 50% of my income, so naturally i want to guard my winnings. In the midst of all this i've gotten insecure and seem to have forgotten proper strategy. How do i regain my composure? Do i stop playing for a while? If so, for how long? I've tried re-reading TOP and THFAP but it doesnt seem to help. What would you do?

I'm not sure why the $1000 or the $240 is relevant. Either you were ridiculously lucky with the $1000 or the $240 is a small loss.

Anyway, I can tell that it's getting to your head. Take a break.
