Three pair turn decision, OOP
$2-$2 LO8 game. Action today had been on the LAG side for this game. Players would raise with any high pair or A-wheel card. Villain in the hand raised everytime he had an A2xx or A3xx regardless of his position.
Preflop Dealt to hero in bb A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6 handed Utg folds, utg+1 calls, co+1 calls, villain raises, button folds, hero calls, co calls, co+1 calls. Flop K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero checks, utg+1 checks, co+1 checks villain checks. I had checked hoping I could isolate villain with a c/r. In the past he had made position bets but deviated from the norm on this hand. Turn Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero??? |

Re: Three pair turn decision, OOP
These are the kind of flops that I like, but not sure that I would bother with a c/r.
I would think it would be reasonable to put your opponent on a bunch of low cards preflop and when that flop misses completely...you put the pressure on him to make a bad call. Bet the flop. Bet the turn. If he calls the turn...then check/call the river unimproved. But I'd bet the hand doesn't get that far and you scoop a small pot. Dave |
