Getting Started With Pokertracker
Hi, I'm thinking about getting started using poker tracker and am wondering if there are any good guides available, either on this site or externally?
I'm interested in : - using stats to rate play of my opponents. - analysing the play at a table before i sit down (datamining?) - analysing my own stats to help me improve. btw - i'm on pokerstars at the moment. Thanks! G. |

the FAQ at the top of the the zoo (internet gambling forum) has links to two good posts on interpreting PT stats.

Re: Getting Started With Pokertracker
If you play NL, be sure to get yourself some NL autorates. I use excession's with a couple of modifications (I got rid of sLN and split "weak-tight" into 'losing weak-tight' and 'winning weak-tight').

Thanks, I'm just playing limit at the moment. Most of my xp is in stt NL but i've been playing limit as a more reliable money earner - we'll see
The link to one of the posts is : http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...fpart=1#923884 The classifications are pretty good too, but some of the greater than / less than signs are the wrong way round (on TA-A for example). G |

Re: Getting Started With Pokertracker
You need to find out about "GametimePlus". I don't have a link to hand but it will be easy for you to find one.
Put simply its a pokertracker addon that overlays your game window with snappy PT stats about each player beside their names. I use it at Party poker, example benefit is I can see who the tight players are at a glance and respect their raises. |

I've read here that PokerAce is a very good program and it's free. Might be something to check out.

Re: Getting Started With Pokertracker
Also consider the playerview (www.playerview.net) software, which I believe can still be run for free if you're only using it on one table. It takes a lot of tinkering to get it how you want it, but it's infinitely customizable.
I don't know how it compares to pokerace, I've never used it. 2nd |
