Standard turn check behind hand
Villain is 45/23/1.22 with 45 WTSD. My river plan was to call an ace or jack, raise a king, and call any other card except 9. Lo and behold, a 9 fell and I folded. ANyone call river hoping for weak ace or kx?

Re: Standard turn check behind hand
I wasn't trying to say that the fold wasn't easy. I was enquiring about the reasoning. Why fold on a 9 but not on an 8 or a 7?

Re: Standard turn check behind hand
it also pairs J9, K9, and 89...all possible holdings for loose player.

Re: Standard turn check behind hand
ah, I thought he raised after a limper so he was likely to have a decent hand... didn't see it was an open raise. The 9 does hit a lot of hands.

I usually see them too late, or sometimes I see them but didn't think of them ahead of time and I don't like that. |
