8/29 and 8/30 Baseball (Need some help)
Whipsaw, mrbaseball, other baseball capers can you please post some picks here for Mon. and Tues. I got some friends in town that like to bet 5 Games a day at a couple dimes a game. I have never seen my friends win, and would like them to go home with some cash. Any picks would help.

A couple of lines that look nice today. If I have time later I'll explain.
Oakland at +120 Colorado at +115 Wash/Atl under 8 at -120 Lines I like a little less, but I think still have some value: Pit +115 Tex +135 Sea +175 (fade the yanks)

Don't have much time right now but today's board seems kind of thin on value. The few that look cheap to me are:
StL -119 over FL - Pitchers duel but Carpenter isn't getting enough respect here and -119 is awful cheap for what he has done to date even against Burnett. LAD +132 over ChiCub - Two fairly mediocre unknownish type pithcers both coming off of fairly decent starts. Make this one a coinflip but one side of the coin pays better than the other. Oakland +105 over Balt - After hot start to season both O's and Bedard floundering. Oakland 14-7 in Saarloos' starts and I like their chances at this price. As much as I like fading Yankees I don't think it's really there today although it is close.

Also consider the fact that STL is 11-0 in Carpenter's road starts this season, and his ERA is actually lower on the road than overall. Carpenter just got done smoking the fish earlier this month. I suspect similar results today.

TB +160 over Boston - Schilling (or is it Shelling) cannot be counted on to perform at past levels until he performs at past levels. The guy is pitching like a bum getting too much respect. Kazmir has pitched 18 innings against Boston this year and has a 2.00 ERA in those innings. TB has been playing an excellent role of spoiler this season and at this price I really like them with this matchup. On a much more marginal basis other plays that appear to have small edges (which I am playing very very small) are NYMets -132 Cincy +103 LADodger +157 Good luck!
