complain to ESPN here about coverage
http://sports.espn.go.com/sitetools/...ct/espntv.html
if enough complain hopefully next year we will again get 2 hour coverage of WSOP events. I know half who I ask about it refuse to even watch any of ESPN coverage this year with little human interest stories and less real poker hands shown due to the shortened to one hour shows. |

What do you mean again? They've never done 2 hour shows for preliminary events.

Re: complain to ESPN here about coverage
you're not going to get enough people to make them change an already profitable format.

What do you mean again? They've never done 2 hour shows for preliminary events. [/ QUOTE ] In fact, until last year, no TV network had ever televised any non-main event WSOP tournament. |

Re: complain to ESPN here about coverage
"The World Series of Poker broadcasts have really gone down in quality for the season of 2005. With commercial breaks, gimmick time, and the mindless chatter of Norman Chad (this man should not commentate on a game he has no reasonable ability to understand), there is no time to see poker being played. We see 7 people get knocked out, one having a sob story, and then the last two play 3 hands before the final hand is shown. All these special little things can be shown, but make it two hours so people who actually enjoy people playing poker can see what they came to watch.
Enjoyable televised poker is not just pushing your chips into the middle. Show well played postflop ability. Ability that got those fine people to the final table. Many people would watch with renewed enthusiasm. Faithful, though cynical, viewer, Jimmy" What, ho! Have at them! |
