No reads on Villain up to this point. With the preflop reraise and the big bet on the flop it smells so bad like AA. In HOH1, Dan says that about 1 out of every 36 times you have KK someone else at the table will have AA and that the broader range of possible hands they could have is justification enough to pay off the times when someone does in fact have AA. Do you abide by this doctrine? Or does anyone else lay KK down when your instincts tell you that you're very likely up against AA?

The problem with folding these spots when you *fear* AA... is that you will be losing a LOT of equity the times they have QQ/AJ/1010 or basically any other hand you have locked up.

Sometimes you will walk into Aces, but its better to walk into AA 1 in 36 (or whatever the figure is) then folding situations where you are scared of AA, when you are in fact miles ahead.

If he has AA... pay the man his money

Would anybody have considered pushing preflop after the BB reraises?

I would have, or at least put in another re-raise. I want this pot heads up and I don't want to give the button good odds to follow. I would give serious consideration to pushing here, and given that any re-raise pretty much commits you to the hand I doubt I would do anything BUT push here.

Hero probably should have raised to 700 PF, maybe even push depending on how you feel about the table.

Gotta push that post flop. You can't be afraid of monsters under the bed.

Yeah, I actually abide by the 36-1 rule myself, and on this hand I did push the flop and was called by QQ and my kings held up. I was just curious if this is how to play it every single time, no matter what.
