You should raise more preflop. To 32 or so.

i like the raise to 32 as suggested above, but i don't like the bet on the turn. Granted if I was playing the hand I would proabaly do the same thing, but looking at it longer I like the idea of checking the turn and hoping a A,K, or Q falls. Curious to see the results though as to what he would c/c the turn with after betting the flop. Maybe overpair J's, Q's.

I'd bet the turn as well against any average opponent who I knew doesn't get too tricky. A more interesting question is, can you push the river once he checks it?

I dont get it, on the turn, what do you put him on and are you trying to convince him of you holding a set?

i really wasnt that sure...I was between mid pp, AK, and QQ, or a set

I figured there would be about a 50% chance he has has mid pp or AK, which he would fold to my turn bet. If he does not fold I am done on the river.

Assuming the bluff started before the flop when you reraised, you should have raised his flop 1/2 pot bet. A minraise would have had villain's head spinning unless he had a set - and then you would have known how likely a further bluff would succeed at any rate.

Good comment...Thats what I figured. I guess the best line here would be reraise flop/push turn to weakness or just wait to see if I hit my Q,K,A hit on river and be passive unless the Q came.
Anyway villan called and checked river. I was pretty sure he was ready to go allin. I checked expecting to lose. He showed QQ.
