Default So I go it alone

Button in this hand is a TAG, and MP is loose (didn't have a good read on his aggression level). Preflop, who raises this? On the flop, I was planning on checkraising, but MP beat me to it.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP calls, Hero calls, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
MP checks, Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero?

I think you have to fold to the 2 cold. If you were going to continue, 3 betting is better than calling.

I'd muck. You don't seem to have enough outs and there’s a chance you could get caught in the middle of something nasty here.

Gah, you play $10/20?

Raise PF.

Definitely fold to two cold.

Definitely raise preflop. In the general case, this may be close. With a TAG button, definitely not close.

No one calls this? There seems to be enough odds (at least implied) for the gutshot + a backdoor flush draw (5.5 outs). Not to mention his overcard that's worth at least 1 out. The pot seems to be laying at least 10:1 right now.

Would I be making a terrible mistake by peeling?

Reread the hand. He's getting 5:1 is the original better still to act.
