Default Easy Cash Game Strategy

Hi guys,

I was reading this post in another forum recently about an easy strategy to beat the small stakes NL cash games.

It seems very stupid and like it wouldn't work but lots of people on the other forum said it was working.

I am very curious as to whether somthing this simple can work.

Can anyone say whether this system works or not? Has anyone tried it over 100,000 hands or something?

The system is this:

- Push All in with AA and KK preflop.
- Limp with all other pairs QQ-22, only to flop a set, if flopped a set, push all-in.

Seems stpuid right?

Are people in small stakes (NL25-100) really that stupid to make money off?

Thanks for any responses guys,

Stevo.

include holdings that draw to the nuts such as Ax sooted, and also include suited connectors when someone raises preflop and there is more than 1 caller as you can typically take someones entire stack when you hit... at a reasonable price. i am a average mtt'er but a huge winner in cash games. i might loose for a while with some speculative hands, but i eventually get your stack. also... i would not limp queens and maybe not jacks depending on the table. thats just me.

good luck

This system will probably show a small profit in the smallest games. But it is still stupid.

it would work mabye if you started with 1/2 the buy in or something.. so that people woudl actually call ur push preflop with less than premium
otherwise your wasting alot of profit by playing those premium cards very badly

i doubt that it works, but it doesn't matter anyway. if the opposition is so bad that this shows a profit any decent player should show a gigantic profit by playing textbook poker.

I'd really like to see some evidence that supports you statement. My experience with a similar system raise (AA-77) and limp with 66-22 was that it was very profitable although my sample size was around 5,000 hands.
It's just f'in boring.

Yeah, this will actually make a pretty huge profit. In fact, I suggest you try it as soon as possible: come over to the 200 NL Prima tables, try to get in 6-8 tables at a time.

Oh yeah, make sure your username is the same as your 2+2 name, I'll cheer you on.

The only way this strategy works is if a majority of your opponents aren't paying attention to how you play. After seeing you do this more than once at the table, you will never get a call from me (or anyone who is paying attention) unless I have the nuts, in which case I will add your $$$ to my bankroll...... (BTW, I play 5 tables at a time and would spot this play pretty quick)
