Has anyone had a dream like this?

...where you're actually asleep in the dream, but when you wake up in the dream you also wake up in real life. It was a pretty good dream. I've never had one like that.

I had a dream once where I was fully, consciously aware that I was asleep. The place in my dream was kind of unpleasant and I wanted to get out, so I focussed on sending the sound of an alarm clock to my mind to wake me up. I woke up immediately to the sound of my alarm, but it wasn't even set. The sound disappeared as I gained full consciousness.

Musta misread it. So you're dreaming that you're asleep? I don't get it.

And how can you know you're waking up in the dream if you're waking up in real life at this same time?

Yea. What's not to get? I was asleep in the dream. Just as I started waking up in the dream, I woke up in real life.

ive done this before. you wake up from the dream (in your dream) and everything was still messed up and i was worried because i was sure i was awake from my dream. and then i awoke from my dream.
