99 Question

A tight agressive player raises from under the gun. You know this player is only capable of raising the following hands from the 1 hole: TT, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, AK, AQ, KQs.

You look down at 99, then glance to the call button on your screen and see that it reads: Out Of Order.

2. You are on the button and it folds to you, what is your action and why?

Not nearly enough info to pigeonhole this one.

In the first scenario, you have to know the table conditions. If you're getting 6 to the flop regardless of whether or not it's raised, then folding would be very, very bad. All "call button out of order" stuff aside, this is an easy call in that situation.

As far as UTG, what are his capping ranges preflop? If you 3-bet him, is he capping with AK? TT? JJ? Is he capable of folding overcards when he whiffs the flop? Would he check/fold a hand like JJ on a Kxx flop? If you hit your set, when is he going to slow down with an overpair/top pair, if at all?

In general terms, given his range of raising hands you're going to be ahead at this point of the hand more often than you're behind. Admittedly, when you're ahead it's by a thin margin and when you're behind it's a big one, but this is compensated for somewhat by your implied odds when you outdraw a bigger pair. That makes me really not want to fold 99 here, especially if I'm on the button and nobody else is in the hand yet.
