No. [/ QUOTE ] Andy, does this mean that you don't like that book? If it does, can you explain why? I think it is one of the best poker books ever written. |

That guy in that review makes some statements that indicate that he clearly doesn't understand holdem, especially no limit.

Re: Is this the book everybody likes?
People like it, but I feel while good, it's quite incomplete. It's basically, like a number of books out there, a collection of articles and not a complete strategy guide.

there is a very interessting review at amazon.com about this book, i think you should read the review from "2Dollarbets" [/ QUOTE ] It may be an interesting review, but not because it's accurate. 2Dollarbets has misrepresented the books advice in that review, either intentionally or by accident. The player strikes me as being clueless at either bigbet poker, reading comprehension, or expressing his ideas in written form. My own review of the pot and no limit poker book would be it's the best beginner book on bigbet poker you can buy. It's an essential bigbet book, along with improve your poker, supersystem, and HOH. Anyone expecting more advanced stuff from a book is deluding themselves. |
