Default fun with AQo

SB sorta loose, nothing to write home about, and passive
UTG+1 just ended his first orbit
CO is a LA-A, I'm very surprised this pot came to me unraised

Paradise Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, CO calls, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, SB calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, CO checks.

psssh, I want to ditch it here. Note CO checks here, as I definte

Turn: (4 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, SB folds.

Believe it or not, i think this bet right now is for value.

River: (6 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets...

If CO had a spade, he'd def raise it by now. Yeah Clarkmeister!

I take the free flop. AQo plays well multiway (don't let anyone tell you otherwise), but I forgo a raise for three reasons here-

1. You are not passing up on much equity, whereas with a hand such as AQs you'd have a rather signifigant advantage over 3 limpers.

2. You do not need to build a pot to support draws. Other than an unlikely gutshot, you won't flop draws with AQ. With a hand like QJs I'd pump right here to get more of my opponent's money in to allow me to chase a few backdoors.

3. You will disguise the strength of your hand.

How do you feel about folding to a river raise from a LA-A?

I would probably play it the same. The only problem I see is that you say he is aggressive. Do you think he could raise the river as a bluff? If so betting planning to fold to a raise might not work out if he is capable of that.

And possibly most important...

4. By not raising preflop, you don't build the pot for THEIR draws either.

What do his stats look like? If he's laggy enough to call a raise from, I need to reevaluate my read-dependent plays

51/5/1.6 through ~50 hands.

has been showing down weird hands as well, overplayed pair of sevens with J7o on a AJx 2 tone flop, blank turn/river

gross, was that what you were talking about in the first post? For some reason I thought you meant checking flop...

I'm raising here cause I like pushing any equity edge, and am a whore like that to push any edge. Also, I don't think they will flop draws/hit the draws enough times to make it unprofitable
